Introducing the 2025 Metro Central Year 8 Black Division premiers. Congratulations to the Year 8 team on winning the Grand Final.
Coolbinia Year 8 — 7.5 (47)
Kalamunda Year 8 Gold — 1.5 (11)
The team list changed drastically from last year, there were injuries and plenty of jet-setters, and the group still worked hard enough to be playing as one cohesive team by the end of the season. They developed on the field, and their maturity grew as young men as well.
A wrap-up from co-coaches Rob Carrabba and Michael Italiano:
As coaches, it’s hard to put into words how proud we are of this Year 8 group.
After a solid season with only one loss, the Year 8 boys capped off their season with a dominant performance in the Grand Final, securing a well deserved win. The team showed incredible growth throughout the year with a shared determination to improve every week.
What impressed us most wasn’t just the skills on display, but the way each player stepped up for one another, as they played with belief, discipline, and most of all, as a team. The final whistle was not just a memorable victory it was a reflection of their talent, unity and commitment all season long.
We could not be prouder of the effort they put in.
You should all be very proud.
